There are four ways to apply ad rates Default (Webinterpret's Smart Strategy), Webinterpret Recommended Rate, eBay Recommended Rate, and Manual Input Range.
Ad rates can be managed on a campaign and market level.

Setting up ad rates for your Promoted Listings Standard campaigns is a crucial step to determine the cost of promoting your items. This guide will walk you through the different ad rate options, how to manage them, and where to make adjustments.

Default Ad Rate (Webinterpret's Smart Strategy) The default ad rate is set between 2% to 3.5% per campaign, as recommended by eBay. If you don't make any changes, Webinterpret's smart strategy algorithm will be automatically chosen.
Webinterpret Recommended Rate This option is based on the current trending ad rates in the markets where you're selling. It takes into account various factors related to the products you're promoting. This approach simplifies ad rate management and ensures your listings remain competitive both domestically and internationally.
eBay Recommended Rate Similar to the Webinterpret recommended rate, this option follows eBay's suggested ad rates for your campaigns.
Manual Input Range With this option, you can manually input a range, and all items will be promoted within that range based on Webinterpret's recommendation.
Flat Rate Choose a fixed ad rate for all your promoted items.

To manage ad rates, use the Ad Rate Manager on the Webinterpret Marketing Dashboard. Access to this feature is available for sellers who have upgraded to the full version of Promoted Listings Standard after a free trial. If you're using Promoted Listings Standard for your domestic listings, you can start managing ad rates immediately.

To edit ad rates on a campaign level

Log into your Marketing Dashboard.
Scroll down to find your list of available campaigns.
Under "List of campaigns," click the edit icon under the "Ad rate" column.
Choose one of the four ad rate options and click save.

To manage ad rates on a market level

Go to "Settings" in your Marketing Dashboard.
Under the Promoted Listings Standard PLS tab, click "Actions" and "Edit ad rate" next to the desired market.
Edit the ad rate based on one of the ad rate options and click save.

Keep in mind that applying an ad rate on the market level will create new campaigns with this type of ad rate. However, listings already included in active campaigns will retain their existing ad rates.
